Short-Eared Owl in Golden Light – Panoramic Wildlife Canvas Print
I’ve spent a lot of time this summer photographing the short-eared owls near where I live in North Yorkshire. I’ve really enjoyed watching them hunt and getting to know the areas they use.
I’d been watching this particular owl hunting across the fields when it suddenly flew straight towards me. The evening sun was really low, catching the light on its wings as it came towards me. I couldn’t have asked for better timing!
I’ve taken hundreds of photographs of these owls over the summer, but this is definitely one of my favourites. I think it works really well as a panoramic canvas print, especially with that lovely golden evening light.
