Glencoe is one of my favourite places in the world. I’ve been there more times than I could possibly count, all of them with my mum, so it’s a part of Scotland that will always be very special to me.
This photograph was taken at Loch Achtriochtan on an absolutely freezing day. I genuinely thought my fingers were going to fall off by the time I’d finished, but with the loch this still there was no way I was going anywhere.
I absolutely love reflections, particularly in panoramic photographs, and this was just perfect. The low light was catching the mountains on one side of the glen and the water was calm enough to reflect almost the entire landscape back at me.
Definitely worth the frozen fingers.
