A little Lakes District adventure with Yorkshire Pop Top Adventures!
3rd March 2023
I spend so much time alone in my own little bubble, camping, walking and photographing that it’s so nice to occasionally meet up with other like minders! Colin from Yorkshire pop top is just that – we walked, flew drones (crashed a drone in my case!) Drove cool passes, drank beer (quite a lot) had a great camp fire, sang and played the guitar!
We stayed at Syke Farm next to Buttermere, nice if you’re in a tent but not great for a camper as you’re just in the carpark. Really good location though as you are right in between Crommock Water and Buttermere. I’ve wanted a specific image of Buttermere for a while now which is the one below. It didn’t quite go to plan but to be honest landscape photography rarely does and you need to be able to change what and where you are shooting to accommodate mother nature! But I do really like some of the images – especially the Large one of the Langdales – a 6 shot panorama (last image in the set) what a fab places the Langdales, I think I’ll camp there next time I visit the Lakes. Here are some of my shots from the two days, I hope you like, leave me a comment or come and join me over on FaceBook Please check out Yorkshire Pop Top Adventures on YouTube.
